How to Get an RTX 5080 or RTX 5090
Trying to buy an Nvidia RTX 5080 or RTX 5090? You’re not alone. These high-end graphics cards are in insanely high demand, and stock sells out in seconds. I’ve been using several methods to increase my chances of securing one, and while I haven’t managed to get an RTX 5090 yet, I’m getting closer. Here’s what I’m doing to stay ahead of the competition.
1. Join This Discord for Instant Stock Alerts
One of the best ways to track RTX 5080 and RTX 5090 stock is through this Discord server: https://discord.com/invite/VR5aUQR6vg.
This is an active community of people constantly sharing stock links, alerts, and buying strategies. The server includes a real-time tracker that provides instant notifications the moment an RTX 5080 or 5090 Founders Edition drops.
💡 Important note: This tracker currently only works for Nvidia Founders Edition models and Amazon. Competition is fierce for these GPUs, and Amazon stock is often snatched up by bots before you can even click the link. Still, it’s worth having as part of your RTX 5090 buying strategy.

2. Use This Live Nvidia API Tracker
Another essential tool I keep open at all times is:
This site constantly monitors Nvidia’s API for stock updates. When an RTX 5080 or RTX 5090 becomes available, it can send a desktop notification and provide a direct purchase link. This can be a game-changer if you react quickly enough.

3. Track Stock Across the Web with Trackalacker
Another great website for monitoring RTX 5080 and 5090 availability is:
This tool tracks stock across multiple retailers and provides alerts and purchase links as soon as it detects availability. The more tracking tools you use, the better your chances of actually landing a card.

4. Tailor Your Alerts to Your Country or Region
Most of these methods allow you to customise alerts based on your country or region. This helps filter out stock notifications that aren’t relevant to you, reducing spam and keeping you focused on UK retailers (or wherever you’re trying to buy from).
I Haven’t Got an RTX 5090 Yet… But I’m Getting Closer
I’ll be honest – I still haven’t managed to get an RTX 5090. But these methods have helped me get closer, and I’ve seen AIB stock become available multiple times. The problem is that bots and scalpers are making it incredibly difficult.
As soon as they are on Amazon they are sold before you can even click the link, the first Nvidia drop I was IP blocked for refreshing to often I think but at the time I just thought the website had gone down.
There are many people in the Discord channel that have managed to purchase via Amazon and other retailers.
**UPDATE**
I bought an RTX 5090 FE yesterday using the methods mentioned above, with one addition—the https://notify-fe.plen.io/ API tracker now includes an option (located near the volume control for alerts) to sound an alarm when the SKU changes. This usually indicates that a drop is imminent.
The alarm went off when the SKU changed, so I immediately went to Nvidia’s page. One minute later, the “Buy Now” button appeared. At the same time, the Discord server pinged an alert confirming the drop and posted the direct link, but I was already on the page after hearing the alarm.
I initially thought I would need to be logged into Scan UK, but since the transaction is handled directly on Nvidia’s website, you can’t pre-fill your details. However, I had enough time to enter my information, receive a text from my bank to approve the payment, and successfully complete the purchase.
Shortly after, I received an email from Scan UK confirming my order and outlining the next steps. The order is now with DPD and is expected to arrive Tomorrow.
It’s Arrived
Less than 24hours later and the card has arrived!
I am looking to do thermals later before posting an in depth review in a couple of days time, so I am able to fully test it.
… Can anyone smell burning?…
